Joanne Chew was born and raised in San Francisco where she had childhood aspirations to become a veterinarian. Shortly before she graduated high school, she took an acting class on a whim and fell in love. Much to her family’s chagrin, she enrolled as a theatre major at SF State University before ultimately heading to LA to continue chasing her dream.

She was fortunate enough to land indie and feature films shortly after. Most recently she wrapped a series regular role in the comedy pilot “Destroy X Fire,” supporting roles in the feature films “The Dead Tales,” and “Snatched,” (opposite Dina Meyer and Corin Nemec). She feels incredibly blessed to have played Maggie in “Three Chen Sisters,” and experienced such magical chemistry with the cast and crew. In her spare time, Joanne enjoys long distance running, studying martial arts, and hitting up local farmers markets for her all time favorite vegetable, artichokes.
